Have you considered whether or not you are a vigorous saint ? I hadn't completely realized this until reading a devotional by Oswalt Chambers. Mr. Chambers writings challenge me to the depths of my soul.
"Self-realization only leads to the glorification of good works, whereas a saint of God glorifies Jesus Christ through his good works. Whatever we may be doing ---even eating, drinking, or washing disciples' feet ---we have to take the initiative of realizing and recognizing Jesus Christ in it. Every phase of our life has it's counterpart in the life of Jesus. Our Lord realized His relationship to the Father even in the most menial task." Oswald Chambers.
Reflecting and pondering concepts by Mr. Chambers enforces my faith to a deeper level. I am not here on this earth for 'self-realization' but to truly know Jesus Christ, as my Savior, friend, brother, and confidant.
The spiritually vigorous saint's aim is to know and realize that Jesus Christ is in every set of circumstances !
How often do I 'stop-think-pray' and acknowledge that Jesus is in there, right beside me, fighting the battle... rejoicing with me when He reveals..you are blessed because you are a daughter of the King ! He walks and talks with me as each day unfolds. What greater gift is this ?
